Doors Open Day in Dumfries and Galloway 2009
Just a small selection of the images I took on Doors Open Day in Dumfries and Galloway. I did a tour of the properties in Wigtownshire, including Kirk Covenent in Kirkmaiden, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse and Monrieth House - all pictured above. Two images from the day will be published in tomorrow's Stranraer & Wigtownshire Free Press.

Wigtown Book Festival 2009 - Fireworks
An impressive display of fireworks opened the first night of Wigtown Book Festival 2009 and I was there to capture them. A very long shutter speed was needed for each shot but I feel it was worth the wait!

Craig Airie Fell
Unknown to me at the time, I climbed the highest hill in Wigtownshire yesterday - and what a climb it was! It certainly made me realise I ought to be doing it more often!
Despite the haziness of the weather, the views were stunning and it was well worth the exertion on the way up.
I have included a couple of shots from the day.
