Barend Holiday Village

Some photos of Barend Holiday Village looking like an idyllic place to stay in the Spring sunshine.

Southerness Lighthouse, Beach and Barrel Jellyfish

A walk along Southerness beach on a sunny day with a dramatic sky lent itself to plenty of HDR images. I also discovered a few Barrel Jellyfish washed up.

Red Haven (Reid Ha'en) near Auchencairn

Taking advantage of the sunshine I parked in Auchencairn took a walk past the first bird hide to a small bay called Red Haven (or Reid Ha'en), so named because of the lovely colour of the sand on the beach.

The bay also has great views of Heston Island.

Walking back from the bay there is a nice vista of the hills beyond and the sky had some interesting clouds too - which is a bonus.

Both these images use HDR techniques.

Old Buittle Church

Visited Old Buittle Church for the first time and managed to get these atmospheric HDR shots of the West gable with the sun on it and stormy clouds in the background. More information about the old kirk can be found here: https://canmore.org.uk/site/64872/buittle-old-parish-church.
