Powillimount beach is a geologist's paradise because it has a lot of interesting rock formations and there are massive slabs of rock just lying on the beach packed with fossils, all on my doorstep practically.

Red Squirrel on my Window Sill

Just had to share this one. I recently put a window feeder on my kitchen window (so I could watch the birds while I do the washing up!), and the red squirrels in my garden have started using it. I am now carefully creeping up on them while they feed so I can get some pictures. Here's one of the better one's I took:

BBC Use My Photo of Mull of Galloway Lighthouse for Story Promoting Dumfries and Galloway!

Today, the BBC had a story entitled Dumfries and Galloway: Selling Scotland's 'overlooked corner' talking about Dumfrie's and Galloway's new tourism strategy.
The best part was that they decided to use my photo of the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse to illustrate the story:
